Stability

To achieve anything significant in life, particularly at this time of immense uncertainty, confusion and disruption - regardless of your current circumstances and life stage - you have to establish some level of stability.

What is stability?

A certain level of order, predictability and routine.

Which part of your life requires stability?

I believe all four, major aspects of your life requires stability at some point, these are - not necessarily in the order of importance:

  • health
    • particularly: sleep, exercise and nutrition
  • digital wellbeing
    • particularly: online presence and social media (the restrictions on the latter)
  • financial security, and
  • life purpose or motivation.

While many creators focus mostly on the last one (finding your life purpose, set goals and plans) as the most important one - while others focus on health - I'm taking a different approach, which proved to be very useful and successful in my case:

At this age and advancement of our society - regardless of the stage of life you are in - one of the most important aspects of life is to have a stable base, a foundation of financial stability.

Before we go any further: I'm not here to give you financial advise of any sort, I'm merely providing a tool, and artefact that we can build together that will help you better understand and track your finances.

Why financial stability above all?

Well, as I've experienced personally, financial instability - the uncertainty it brings - can seriously negatively impact your wellbeing and overall health.

On the other hand - also talking from experience - once you stabilise your finances (or at minimum gain a realistic understanding of the current state of it) can have a positive impact on your health and overall wellbeing.

Yes, even simply coming to terms with your current financial situation, having a clear picture makes a huge difference.

In the next post I will guide you through a tool that I built over the last few months (tested and still using today) that can serve as a financial tracker and planner, regardless of your life stage you are in or your life circumstances.

After this, I will, of course move on to the other aspects of life, one step at a time.
